Katharina McLarren is currently pursuing her PhD in the field of International Relations, with a focus on religion in international politics. She works for the Chair of International Politics at the University of Passau as lecturer and research assistant. Ms McLarren has a B.Sc. in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) and an M.A. in Governance and Public Policy from the University of Passau. She also spent several years studying Islamic Studies in Heidelberg and Berlin, where she worked as a research assistant for the Embassy of Afghanistan. Her research interests include intercultural/-religious dialogue as well as the role of religion in International Relations theory. Since January 2015, Katharina, Laura, Salma and Tasnim jointly coordinate the Tunisia in Transition project.
