Tasnim Abderrahim joined the German-Tunisian Research Group “Tunisia in Transition” as a research fellow in 2014. She holds an M.A. in English Language, Literature, and Civilization from the University of Tunis. Her master dissertation is entitled “Campaigning for a Hispanic Agenda: The Role of the Latino Community in the 2012 U.S. Presidential Elections”. She previously worked as a lecturer at the University of Gabes where she taught English language and American history. Her research interests include, among others, voting behaviour, American foreign policy, and democracy promotion. Since January 2015, Katharina, Laura, Salma and Tasnim jointly coordinate the Tunisia in Transition project.
