Edmund Ratka was a Research Fellow at the Chair of International Politics at the University of Passau, where he coordinated the project “Tunisia in Transition” until September 2014. Since then, he is working with a political foundation in Tunis. Mr Ratka studied political science in Munich and Aix-en-Provence and wrote a PhD on Germany’s Mediterranean Policy. He was an Associate Researcher at the Center for Applied Policy Research (C·A·P) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (LMU) and a visiting scholar at Sciences Po Paris, the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Johns-Hopkins-University in Washington D.C. and the Institut français du Proche Orient (IFPO) in Damascus. His research interests include Euro-Mediterranean relations, the transformation of the Arab world and European integration and foreign policy.
